At his debut in 1993 Angelo Davoli (Reggio Emilia 1960–2014) arouses immediate attention, with a figurative painting that breathes mystery, sensitive to the relationship between landscape and disused structures, between pictorial and photographic language. He exhibits in Italy and abroad, and also engages in theatrical scenography in collaboration with Aterballetto and Luciano Ligabue. In this work, part of a project to finance the Hospital for women and children, Davoli inserts the logo he designed for the hospital, and adds "I protected our flag in a plexiglass container like a placenta, hoping for a new rebirth. "
