Verified profile

On the portal of the church was placed a marble statue, The Madonna and Child (1472 - 1473) by Francesco Laurana. To preserve its conservation it was replaced by a copy and the original is today on the ciborium of the high altar. Masterpiece of sculpture, it ranks among the greatest testimonies present in the city of Naples of the fertile artistic vein expressed by the Istrian master.
