To the left of the altar we find the elegant marble funeral monument by Fabrizio Pignatelli with the bronze statue representing him kneeling, his arms laid down, in an attitude of humble submission (1609). The work of Michelangelo Naccherino was commissioned in 1590 by the brothers Decio Caracciolo and Alfonso Galeotta. The statue closely inspired those of the tombs of Cesare and Antonino Firrao in the family chapel in San Paolo Maggiore and that of Vincenzo Carafa at Santi Severino and Sossio.
