With the Transit of San Giuseppe, Fracanzano develops, in a now mature phase of his career, a painting that stands out for its fluid and enveloping stylistic modalities, thanks to the use of a chromatic range with brightened shades and an elegant and refined figures - gathered around the dying Saint Joseph and wrapped in large and wavy drapery in delicate pastel shades - giving life to an atmosphere that does not convey the dramatic pathos that one would expect in the face of the tragic event that is about to take place but rather suggests a sense of calm, lyrical and sweet melancholy.
