In the Castello di Vinovo, near Turin, a porcelain factory was founded in 1776, by Giovanni Vittorio Brodel and Pierre Antoine Hannong, obtaining the exclusive right from the Savoy family. They will soon leave the V.A. Gioannetti. For a long time the main modeler of the manufacture will be Giovanni Lomello who is also assigned the realization of this small sacred sculpture.
