In the production of the Doccia porcelain factory, founded by the Marquis Carlo Ginori in 1741, plastic production was of great importance. This sculpture belongs to the series derived from the series of engravings called “Recueil Ferriol” which depict oriental costumes. As our collection also demonstrates, this was repeated several times (it is enough to observe the variation of the bases).
