Maraini writes in "The Island of the Fisherwomen" (1960, p. 79) that "when they go beyond the surface of the sea, holding onto the boat's gunwale for rest, the Ama make a characteristic whistle (amabui). Each dive can last even more than a minute. After about twenty dives (about an hour of work), the Ama come back on board and rest for about half an hour".
Title: I rest between one dive and the other.
