Painter, sculptor, and designer, Aldo Contini is recognized as one of the most significant figures in the artistic research of the island, with a journey that spans from the 1950s of the last century to the first decade of the new one. The exhibition dedicated to the artist by the Organic Museum, "Before the gold - papers, colors, signs" originates from a revealing episode: access to his studio, which remained intact and never crossed again after his passing, ten years ago. A precious gateway through which to access a part of his production that has long been in the shadows: not only completed works, but also notes, sketches, notebooks, and projects, traces of a relentless workshop where thought takes shape.
