Since February 1, 2020, Casa Museo Antonio Carena, the house of the artist from Rivoli, Antonio Carena, known as the Painter of the Skies, who lived from 1925 to 2010, has reopened its doors to contemporary art lovers. Among the circuit of museum houses in the Turin area, the artist's residence exhibits his private life, the objects that belonged to him, the archive of photos and letters that tell the story of a man who lived in great beauty. In his former residence, about fifty works created from the mid-1940s until a few days before his death in 2010 are displayed.

Antonio Carena studied at the Accademia Albertina under the teachings of Enrico Paulucci, exhibiting since 1950 at the Venice Biennale. During these years, he tackled informal discourse to then move on, in 1960, to object-based research (Carrozzerie, Pellicole - Sperone Gallery in Turin; Scipione Gallery in Macerata). He then addressed the pop theme of "skies", of Levitations, to eventually decorate the ceiling of the staircase of Rivoli Castle, a hall in Geneva, some rooms in Paris (Hotel de Ville D'Albret). The artist from Rivoli brought a bit of blue to every corner of Europe, in public and private spaces.
