Since February 1, 2020, Casa Museo Antonio Carena, the house of the artist from Rivoli, Antonio Carena, known as the Painter of the Skies, who lived from 1925 to 2010, has reopened its doors to contemporary art lovers. Among the circuit of museum houses in the Turin area, the artist's residence exhibits his private life, the objects that belonged to him, the archive of photos and letters that tell the story of a man who lived in great beauty. In his former home, around fifty works created from the mid-1940s until a few days before his passing in 2010 are displayed.

Antonio Carena studied at the Accademia Albertina under the teachings of Enrico Paulucci, exhibiting at the Venice Biennale since 1950. During these years, he delved into informal discourse to then move towards object-based research in 1960 (Car Bodies, Films - Sperone Gallery in Turin; Scipione Gallery in Macerata). He then tackled the pop theme of "skies", Levitations, to eventually decorate the ceiling of the staircase of Rivoli Castle, a hall in Geneva, some rooms in Paris (Hotel de Ville D'Albret). The artist from Rivoli brought a bit of blue to every corner of Europe, in both public and private spaces.
