The foundation

The Centro Arti Visive Pescheria was founded in 1996 in the premises of the ancient fish market (the construction dates back to 1821-'23). The museum was originally housed in the loggia of the old fish market in the city, a neoclassical building dating back to 1824, and in 2001 it was expanded into the adjacent space of the Chiesa del Suffragio In 2012 the Fondazione Pescheria was born which comes back to life in October 2017 with a renewed structure .
