The house in which Gioachino Rossini , built between XV and XVIII, located on’ ancient route of the current Duomo via Rossini, and has been completely renovated and furnished with a next-generation technologies. The composer was born here February 29, 1792 and spends the early years with his family. A nice free space welcomes the public with a store exclusively dedicated to the Swan and the museum documents his life and works.
Audio and video room and contents on the touch screen allow you to see the important heritage of autographs and music so catchy and thematic exhibitions deepen various themes. The exposed materials come largely from Paris: print and etchings, lithographs and pictures that belonged to the collector Alphonse Hubert Martel ; among these thirty portraits of Rossini printed, from youth to old age, and the design of Gustave Dorè that shows him on his deathbed. In addition to the official portraits,è exposed a series of caricatures, the room dedicated to music, is a spinet travel belonged to the master, restored and running.
