The Palazzetto Sanvitale is a place of inestimable artistic and cultural value, as well as a precious jewel of late fifteenth-century architecture, internally frescoed with landscape and religious paintings. The Palazzetto Eucherio Sanvitale is located in the heart of the Ducal Garden, and is older than the Garden itself, currently housing a museum, an exhibition space and a conference room. Originally distinct from the Park, in fact, it was annexed between 1560 and 1570, when, after passing to the Sanvitale family, Duke Ottavio Farnese bought it to annex it to the court garden he was building. Inside, Baglionesque style frescoes have been found and others that are linked to Venetian painting of the 16th century; a Madonna with Child has been attributed with not a few reservations to Parmigianino.
