The exhibition event - which will be open to the public from July 13 to October 20, 2024 - proposes in a contemporary and original way, a journey through six sections that will illustrate how the Museum dedicated to the memory of the Great War in Gorizia was conceived and set up over the course of a hundred years. The narrative of the creators of these different museographic settings will guide visitors on a reflection on the importance of peace as a universal value.
The exhibition, curated by Alessandra Martina, also curator of the Museum of the Great War in Gorizia and for the design of the original and scenic setups by architect Chiara Lamonarca, in collaboration with the design studio +fortuna di Paola, represents a significant celebration also in view of the reopening, scheduled for 2025, of the renewed Museum of the Great War, located in the Castle of Gorizia. The new setup, which coincides with "Go! 2025 Nova Gorica and Gorizia European Capital of Culture 2025," has been conceived as a "Museum for Europe."
