From the second half of the nineteenth century, art and nature coexist at Palazzo dei Musei - Pinacoteca di Varallo e Museo Calderini.

The path of the Pinacoteca reflects the richness of the Valsesian artistic tradition from the Renaissance to the nineteenth century, nurtured over time by the prestigious workshop of the Sacro Monte of Varallo, now a UNESCO site. Enriching this heritage are the graphic collection, the renowned collection of Italian maiolica by Francesco Franchi, and the Remogna collection. The Calderini Natural History Museum, a true Valsesian Wunderkammer, includes naturalistic, archaeological, and demoethnoanthropological collections.
