From 1 April to 29 June 2025
The dossier exhibition is dedicated to the figure of one of the protagonists of the heroic events of 1849, the conspirator Tito Speri (Brescia, August 2, 1825 - Mantua, March 3, 1853), a young patriot animated by anti-Austrian sentiments and one of the most famous instigators of the city uprising.
In 2024, Fondazione Brescia Musei published the book by Enrico Valseriati titled Tito Speri. History and objects of a Risorgimento conspirator, which traces the development of Speri's memory in the public space, as well as the events related to the objects that belonged to him and the iconography dedicated to him between the second half of the 19th century and our days.
The celebration of the 200th anniversary of his birth has provided the opportunity to present at the Risorgimento Museum a series of objects that will remain visible from April 1 to June 29, 2025, documenting the most well-known aspects of his existence.
Among these, the photographic portrait of Tito Speri, one of his pistols, and one of his notebooks with military strategies will be showcased.
Via del Castello, 9, Brescia, Italy
