Balla performs this work in an attempt to go beyond the visible, trying to analyze the changing of light through colors and their visual perception, without seeking a realistic breakdown of the refraction effect of light, but rather a rendering of it according to models invisible to the human eye: the Interpenetrations are formed by repeated geometric modules recalling the sequences of electromagnetic waves.
