Description

This object was found in tomb 21 of the necropolis in the Moio district associated with a kottabos / candelabrum, a crater, a stamnos, all in black paint and dating from the second half of the fourth century BC, and a loom weight. It is a drinking cup, characterized by a flared rim with a tapered end; deep basin with a concave-convex profile, with double slit at the height of the loops; high molded ring foot; horizontal oblique handle handles folded upwards. On the bottom int. the tub features a flower motif with five petals inscribed in a circle; to the east. of the basin, at the height of the loops, a band with groups of three engraved vertical lines. The east fund. it has three bands of paint alternating with spared bands.
