Description

The trousseau belongs to one of the prominent female burials of the necropolis of Torre Mordillo (Spezzano Albanese- CS), although there is also an iron spearhead (an object usually pertinent to male trousseau), in association with the wide repertoire of bronze and iron fibulae - among which the set consisting of 6 bronze four-spiral fibulae, one with a bone plate, one with a arched arch, three with spectacles, two in iron and the other in bronze foil stands out -, with numerous vague glass and amber, braids, rings and various ornamental elements tied to the belt, including a "xylophone" pendant. The presence of the spearhead could confirm the relevance of the outfit to a bisome burial, that is, with the presence of a male and a female subject deposited inside the same funeral container (probably a wooden chest subsequently wasted), like other notes in the world enotrio, which underline the importance of a family relationship as a couple. Also included in the kit are a fairing cup, a pitcher and a pyx in the dough.
