Description

It is part of the section of the Museum dedicated to the Risorgimento and set up on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy. It portrays the Venetian brothers Attilio and Emilio Bandiera protagonists of the Risorgimento, executed by shooting following the sentence of the martial court of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies in Cosenza on July 25, 1844 after a failed attempt to raise the Calabrian populations against the reign of Ferdinand II in perspective of an Italian national unification.
