The archaeological remains of the old Caesaraugusta Theater were found by chance in 1972. Since then, through different excavations, heritage from different eras has been found that can now be enjoyed in the Museum, inaugurated in 2003.

The Theater had a capacity for 6,000 spectators and was 25 meters high, making it one of the main theaters in Hispania. Along with the museums of the Forum, Public Baths and River Port, the Theater Museum is part of the Caesaraugusta Route , which make up the most important buildings of the ancient Roman colony.
