This piece is a fragment of a spherical Roman clock, which is essentially a conical projection of the celestial vault represented by the circles of the solstices (Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn) and the equinoxes (equatorial line). In the Caesaraugusta watch, the pseudoparallel segments are identified with hour lines that divide the dial into four zones, corresponding to the prime, second, third, and fourth hours. The line that cuts the previous ones is the one that marks the equinoxes and, parallel to it, the summer solstice would be represented. Based on the length of the arcs defined by the incised lines, he calculates that the sphere of the original piece would have a radius of approximately 9.5 cm.
