Description

The appliqué is made up of a figured face and a smooth ring located on her hairstyle, on the onkos. The piece was originally welded to the edge of a situla. The face represents a New Comedy theater mask with an open and perforated mouth, and belongs to a young character, hairstyle with thick ringlets, a slightly raised onkos and a ribbon on the forehead. Due to the expression of pain, it would be one of the young characters of the Tragedy. The eyes present a cavity that would be filled, probably with silver or another metal of another color.
