The Flatform collective - whose work lies between experimental cinema and contemporary art - focuses its artistic reflection on the narration of natural phenomena set in the landscape and in peripheral contexts, issues that are more relevant than ever today. In Story of a Tree, the artists investigate the art of portraiture, rewriting, however, the nature of the subject and the expressive technique. At the center of the work is an oak tree, born about 900 years ago, also known as the Oak of the Hundred Knights and the place it inhabits, the city of Tricase, in Puglia: a millenary plant organism that bears perennial witness to the development of a place, the stories that have crossed it, and the cultures and languages that have succeeded each other and still coexist.
