On Friday, October 4th at 6:00 pm, the Venanzo Crocetti Foundation presents the exhibition Invisible Deposits. From cataloging to fruition, made possible thanks to the contribution granted by the Lazio Region. The exhibition represents a moment of sharing with the public and scholars of some of the results obtained from the broader project The invisible deposit. From knowledge to fruition: new perspectives on research, study, and enhancement of the Crocetti collection. The idea of cataloging, inventorying, and digitizing the tools and materials used by the Maestro arose during the restoration of Crocetti's work Allieva di danza owned by the Modern Art Gallery of Rome carried out by the Central Institute for Restoration. The restoration of the work started from the analysis of the material stored in the Crocetti Museum's deposit to make a comparison with the other works created by the Artist, making his personal modus operandi evident. The exhibition Invisible Deposits. From cataloging to fruition presents the process of creating the Volo d'angelo, a work by Crocetti for which the bronze, plaster and silicone rubber matrices, the plaster model, as well as a series of projects, notes, and preparatory drawings have been identified. The in-depth inspection of the warehouses has also made it possible to identify the tools, materials, and raw materials used by the Maestro, an aspect to which he was always particularly attached and which he always took care of in every detail. The objective of the exhibition, open to the public until October 17th, is to exhibit and narrate the methodological process that follows the creation of a sculpture, that is, the creative, artistic, and artisanal path that follows the various stages of the work's realization. From the initial transposition of the idea on paper to the realization of the bronze casting. The exhibition INVISIBLE DEPOSITS. FROM CATALOGING TO FRUITION was made possible with the contribution of the Lazio Region, Directorate of Culture and Lazio Creativo, Cultural Services and Promotion of Reading Area, L.R. n. 24/2019, Plan 2023.
