State-of-the-art architecture

Until 15 October 2023

The MAXXI Museum - National Museum of XXI Century Arts is located in Rome and is dedicated to contemporary creativity.

Inaugurated in May 2010, MAXXI is managed by a private law foundation set up by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism. In 2013, moreover, it was recognized among the private research institutions.

Conceived as a large campus for culture, MAXXI was designed by Zaha Hadid , winner of an international competition, and is a large architectural work with innovative and spectacular shapes in the center of Rome.

It produces and hosts art, architecture, design and photography exhibitions , as well as fashion , cinema, music, theater and dance performances, lectures and meetings with artists, architects and protagonists of our time.

MAXXI is much more than a museum: a platform open to all languages of creativity and a meeting place for exchanges and collaborations, a space open to all, a laboratory for the future.
