The Haus der Brandenburgisch-Preussischen Geschichte is a museum in Potsdam dedicated to the history of the State of Brandenburg. Opened in 2003, the museum is housed in the Potsdamer Stadtschloss (Potsdam Castle) stable in the heart of Potsdam's historic center. It preserves a collection of historical artifacts that testify to the development of the State of Brandenburg and Prussia, through 900 years of the country's history: topics ranging from the history of civilization and art history to social and everyday history are treated . The museum also organizes various temporary exhibitions, events, guided tours and excursions.
