The Museo dell'Opera di Parma, housed in the fifteenth-century Palazzo Cusani, takes its cue from the tradition of Parma to retrace four centuries of opera theater history, through the themes, places and protagonists that have marked its journey from origins up to the present day. The Museum is rich in documents, images, paintings, posters (almost all exhibited in the original), mostly coming from the collections of the Historical Archive of the Teatro Regio preserved at the Casa della Musica, enclosed in a modern exhibition itinerary, divided into two rooms, which make use of exhibition and information panels, audiovisuals and background opera music. The Museum has received from the Emilia-Romagna Region the recognition of Museum of Quality.
