From 5 May to 26 November 2023
On the occasion of the " Revolution Vedova " exhibition conceived and designed by the Emilio and Annabianca Vedova Foundation and co-produced with M9 - Museo del '900 , Vitruvio Virtual Reality curated, conceived and created the site-specific video installation and the immersive projection area to celebrate the art of Emilio Vedova . The exhibition, curated by Gabriella Belli , can be visited until 26 November 2023 on the third floor of the M9 – Museo del '900 in Mestre .
The exhibition opens an unprecedented path that chooses contemporary art as a tool to explore and interpret the social, cultural, political and economic history of the twentieth century , a choice that underlines the central role of Emilio Vedova, whose work is the interpreter and witness of a strong historical and civil link with the events that marked the 20th century, maintaining the strength of constant relevance today.
The installation by Vitruvio Virtual Reality , a Bolognese studio specialized in computer graphics that creates commercials, virtual tours for exhibitions or fashion events, augmented and virtual reality experiences, fits well into this context. Vitruvio Virtual Reality recently with the VVR Fashion Metaverse showroom earned the place as the only European studio finalist in the Built Experiential category of the international Metaverse Architecture and Design Awards created by the US magazine Interior Design Magazine .
The intervention is a challenge to representation, a guide to the discovery of the sign and the places that characterized the artist's life . Through the analysis of his work and the theoretical corpus, the multidisciplinary team of Vitruvio Virtual Reality has paid its tribute with a cinematic quality short lasting 3 minutes and 30 seconds designed to be projected in a special immersive space composed of 4 opposing walls (total surface area 56 m2) which will envelop the visitor, placing him at the center of the imagination of the great Venetian artist. An immersive room that promises an emotional experience in the gestural and creative world of Vedova.
