Kunsthalle St. Annen is Lübeck's modern and contemporary art museum and exhibition space for temporary exhibitions. It is located within the complex of the "Museumsquartier St. Annen", an ancient Augustinian monastery, where there is also the St. Annen Museum, with an important collection of medieval art.

The Kunsthalle St. Annen is located in the former monastery church, of which only mighty octagonal pillars, arched arches and niches and the surrounding brick walls remain, after a fire in 1843 that destroyed it. The reconstruction, completed in 2003, has partially preserved some of the remains of the ancient building. The overall result is that of a space that from the outside appears unstructured and monolithic, but which inside offers about 1000 square meters of exhibition space in a combination of ancient and modern structures.

The museum's collection contains paintings, sculptures, drawings and graphics from 1945 to the present day, with a particular focus on abstraction and informal painting. There are paintings by Willi Baumeister, Ernst Wilhelm Nay, Bernard Schultze, Emil Schumacher, Hann Trier, Fred Thieler and KRH Sonderborg as well as individual representatives of the COBRA and SPUR groups. American (post) modernism is represented with the images of Andy Warhol and Richard Serra. The museum organizes 3 temporary exhibitions of an international character every year.
