From 3 April to 20 July 2025
The Pallavicini Palace of Bologna is preparing to host a new exhibition in its rooms, dedicated to one of the most successful Italian comics, Diabolik. The exhibition, curated by Dr. Francesca Bogliolo, produced by Pallavicini s.r.l. by Chiara Campagnoli, Deborah Petroni, and Rubens Fogacci in collaboration with the publishing house Astorina, is dedicated to the character born in 1962 from the creative genius of the sisters Angela and Luciana Giussani. It aims to tell the public the events of Italy's first black comic and reveal all the hidden curiosities regarding its creation, evolution, and success.
Visitors will be able to retrace, through fascinating original panels, the story of Diabolik starting from its conception to its reinterpretation, passing through the most significant aspects of the graphic and introspective transformation of the protagonist. The exhibition will tell the story of the publication from its beginnings, from the moment the Giussani sisters had the intuition to provide commuters at Milan's Cadorna station with a small-format comic characterized by a few vignettes per page, whose reading required the time of a short journey and whose protagonist was a cunning and elusive criminal. Since then, up to the present day, Diabolik's editorial adventure has been able to accompany readers by constantly renewing itself and establishing itself as a true cult capable of transcending national boundaries and temporal limits.
