Description

The "Bubble Club" sofa, which won the Compasso d’Oro award in 2001, is 100% industrial, it is a single hollow piece, thanks to the rotational moulding technique. The designer, Philippe Starck, described it as "a sofa made of air with a plastic skin".

It takes its name from the traditional sofa "Club", but the shape is redesigned to be consistent with the material. Suitable for outdoor use, it showed how rapidly Kartell was broadening and diversifying its collection.
