From her wanderings in the world Maura Banfo returned to the nest of her hometown and Turin where she began her career expressing herself through drawing, photography and video art. In the Giardini di Levante he shows a symbol of this return with the sculpture «Nido», his nest but also what each of us perceives as a sign of home and family, secure despite its fragility. Chosen from a series of other nests that represent the common thread of the appreciated sculptural production of the Piedmontese artist, this nest is placed on an inclined ladder to indicate the possible union between the man-made artefact and that of the animal world, highlighting in this way his deep love for nature. The work had already been presented with a different nest in 2016 in the Giardini del Duca.
