From 2 March at the Casa Museo dell'Antiquariato in Arezzo, part of the Intesa Sanpaolo heritage, the exhibition “ La libera modo. Abstract and informal art in the Intesa Sanpaolo collections, organized and promoted by Intesa Sanpaolo , the Ivan Bruschi Foundation and the CR Jesi Foundation , in synergy with the Gallerie d'Italia . The exhibition - curated by Marco Bazzini , one of the most famous scholars of today's figurative culture - draws on the prestigious collections of Intesa Sanpaolo, as part of an effective collaboration which was activated again in 2023 with the two Foundations and which launches an innovative exhibition itinerary in two stages, first in Arezzo and then in Jesi, from 7 December 2024 to 5 May 2025.

The exhibition, through a thoughtful selection of thirty-four works that constitute the central nucleus of the two exhibition stages, takes into consideration the period between the end of the Second World War and the beginning of the fabulous Sixties in Italy. A decade or so in which the country is reconstructed to leave behind the material ruins of the cities, the economy and civil society and at the same time, in what can be imagined as an abandoned and uncultivated territory, the reconstruction also begins of a cultural conscience that had suffered heavily from the restrictions of the Twenty Years. The 1950s were the years of the rebirth of the country, of the formation of the Republic, of the awakening of the arts through multiple experiences that did not spare heated controversies. The debate led by opposing sides that do not ignore different political, as well as poetic, orientations is proof of a true vitality and recovery of Italian art.

Works by important artists including Afro Basaldella, Alberto Burri, Lucio Fontana, Carla Accardi, Bruno Munari, Enrico Baj, Carol Rama.
