Fondazione Coppola was established in 2018 as an exhibition space for contemporary art, inside the Torrione di Porta Castello, a historical building from the 12th century, always one of the symbols of the city. With its 41.60 meters in height, the Torrione is one of the tallest historical buildings in the Vicenza urban landscape. The actual tower, home to the activities of the Foundation, is spread over 8 levels: from a public reception room to the magnificent top space, offering an uninterrupted and exceptional view of the Vicenza buildings and the surrounding hilly and mountainous systems.

The museum tour, designed by architects Paolo De Biasi and Francesco Durante, unfolds along the entire architectural structure: at each level, panels have been installed where the illuminated works will be displayed with a LED system with diffused or pinpoint light, according to different needs. Panels and lighting fixtures enhance the volumes and spaces of the tower, emphasizing its characteristics with light visual and structural presences and ensuring a high degree of flexibility.

The mission of Fondazione Coppola is to promote the languages of contemporary art, investing in both acclaimed figures and emerging artists.
