The Museum, founded in 1893 and housed since 1938 in the building of the late eighteenth-century Villa Guiccioli in Monte Berico, together with the annexed Historical Park Theater of the heroic resistance of 1848, is a complex intimately tied to the history and civic life , moral and cultural city and the territory. Its collections represent an interesting example of the Vicenza area and national events ranging from the first Napoleonic campaign in Italy in 1796 to the historical events of the Second World War and the liberation struggle.
