On the occasion of the 19th International Architecture Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia 2025, anonymous art project debuts in Europe with two new exhibition projects that focus on some of the most significant voices of contemporary Japanese art, in close dialogue with the historical and architectural heritage of Venice. The two exhibitions organized by anonymous art project are independent initiatives in support of the Japan Pavilion exhibition at the Venice Biennale, entitled In-Between.

Founded in 2023 from an idea by entrepreneur Hiroyuki Maki, anonymous art project is the first Japanese philanthropic program to support local artists through donations, sponsorships, and funding for museums and exhibitions in Japan and abroad. Founded on the philosophy of "giving back to society," the project aims to provide an alternative platform to profit-driven logic, with the goal of creating a free space where art can be experienced as authentic and transformative.

The arrival in Venice marks the beginning of the project's international activities with two exhibitions that reflect on the relationship between art, architecture, and society: the solo exhibition LINES by KENGO KITO, from May 6 to September 28, 2025 in the courtyard of the National Archaeological Museum of Venice, part of the National Archaeological Museums of Venice and the Lagoon, and the exhibition project Mika NINAGAWA with EiM: INTERSTICE from May 11 to July 21, 2025 in the spaces of Palazzo Bollani.

On the occasion of the arrival of the anonymous art project delegation in Venice, the public opening of the two exhibitions will be accompanied by a performative event focused on street food during the inauguration, featuring oden, a popular dish typical of Japanese cuisine. The inaugural event is animated by the presence of the artistic collective L PACK, in collaboration with SCREWDRIVER.
