The artist from Bergamo, Manuel Bonfanti, participates for the first time in the Biennale of the European Cultural Centre, an initiative coinciding with the Venice Art Biennale 2024. Until November 24, the painting In The Middle of Now-Where will be exhibited at Palazzo Mora as part of the collective exhibition entitled Personal Structures - Beyond Boundaries. The huge canvas, created with a mixed technique, measuring twenty square meters, with transparencies and material stratifications, featuring a deep and oceanic blue that is traced, scraped, repainted, and washed, expresses and reaffirms, through the denial of space and time, the transcending of boundaries and the spiritual restructuring and reconstruction of the self. A free space to imagine and build one's soul.

In The Middle of Now-Where represents the third important project of Aedificante Onlus, a cultural initiative of the Bergamo entrepreneur Giuseppe Taramelli and his wife Stefania Gambirasio dedicated to the human values of construction. The astral painting, 6.5 meters wide by 3 meters high, represents an imposing building of the soul that captivates the view by entirely occupying one of the walls of Palazzo Mora, a prestigious venue on Strada Nova in Cannaregio, the cultural institution of the European Cultural Centre founded by the Dutch artist Rene Rietmeyer in 2002.

From the symbolized void of In the Middle of Now-Where, everything is reborn, with the intention of elevating us with the elegance of form and material. This is why the Bergamo entrepreneur Giuseppe Taramelli (Taramelli Srl, specialized in building reconstruction, with national projects such as the Bottega Veneta headquarters at Palazzo San Fedele in Milan, and international projects from China to England) wanted to support Bonfanti's research with Aedificante for a new culture of reconstruction.
