Jesi Foundation Savings Bank

The Cassa di Risparmio di Jesi Foundation was founded in 1992 by the Cassa di Risparmio of the same name, to separate the banking activity of the savings banks from the social and cultural interventions in favor of local communities.

Palazzo Bisaccioni , which has hosted the Cassa di Risparmio di Jesi since its birth in 1844, is currently the headquarters of the Foundation. The building, dating back to 1527, is located in the heart of the historic center and overlooks one of the most beautiful squares in Jesi, Piazza Colocci.

The Foundation's collection is made up of predominantly pictorial works, varying according to historical era and painting school, found over time through bequests and past purchases.

The exhibition rooms are arranged on several floors. On the first floor of the building there are ancient works of art, ranging from the 16th to the 18th century.

Temporary exhibitions of ancient and contemporary art are organized on the ground floor.

At Palazzo Bisaccioni it is possible to visit:

The Historical Archive of the Cassa di Risparmio di Jesi , which collects the documentation accumulated over the years of lending activity. The time span of the correspondence goes from 1825 to 1992, all cataloged and easily consultable.

The Library collects the most valuable publications financed by the Foundation and the other 80 Italian Foundations. Volumes from all over Italy are collected and cataloged with a particular section dedicated to art books.

The publications are cataloged in the SBN Regional Library System.

The Caveau , dating back to the 1950s, is perfectly preserved and retains its elegant and imposing appearance intact. One cannot help but be fascinated by the vaulted room of the Treasury, the safes, the vintage safes and the secret passages. The collection of coins and banknotes of the Republic is also of great importance.
