Villa Fiorentino is a museum house located in the center of Sorrento that hosts exhibitions and cultural events.

It was built in the 1930s by the spouses Antonino Fiorentino and Lucia Cuomo, skilled weavers of fine handkerchiefs. 

They purchased a 10,000 square meter plot of land in the historic center of Sorrento and were inspired by the neo-colonial South American style for the design, entrusted to the engineer Almerico Gargiulo. 

The villa, completed between 1935 and 1936, housed their residence and an exhibition space for their commercial activity.

The spouses donated the villa to the city of Sorrento to turn it into a cultural center. Today, also known as Villa Fazzoletti, it is the headquarters of Fondazione Sorrento, promoter of cultural events.

In the spaces offered by the Villa, arranged on 4 floors plus the farmhouse in the large park it hosts, among other things, a playground for children and a cultivation of camellias, the Foundation organizes exhibitions, events, and cultural initiatives promoting the image of Sorrento and the peninsula in Italy and worldwide.

This organization, launched by the Municipal Administration, relies on a passionate team that - embodying the ideals of the founders of the Villa - aims for excellence in tourism and the goal of making the beauty of the territory known to as many people as possible.
