The Castle

Designed as a military garrison, l’ building, in the first halfà the sixteenth century, took on the’ appearance of a noble house with a large garden, of which there are l’ furnishing, paintings, pottery, different busts Roman era and l’ entire archive of the Bufalini family. The vaults of the rooms contain paintings by Cristofano Gherardi, Tuscan artist of Mannerist training, between 1542 and 1552, reproduced mythological fables and grotesque decorations in the main tower, the Hall of the Gods and in the Apollo Room.&Nbsp; The Castle hosted news (including the living Nativity), conference (including that of Francesca Turini Bufalini), exhibitions (such as flavors and crafts), book presentations , activitiesà teaching also in relation to’ alternation between school and work.
