Eni, always close to the world of art and culture, tells the story of its visual communication through an installation inspired by one of the first and most iconic Agip stations. With a collection of advertisements, photographs, drawings, and manuals that have accompanied the figure of the six-legged dog, Eni illustrates its constantly evolving identity. From the images of the exhibition with the thirty finalists of the Agip competition held in September 1952 at the Salone Annunciata gallery in Milan, to the renewal started in 2022, which first involved the companies Plenitude, Versalis, Enilive. Today, the Eni brand presents itself in a new graphic form: a revised composition that declares the evolution of the approach to energy towards different but complementary services and products. From the first iconic success of the "six-legged dog" designed by Luigi Broggini, we come to the advertising campaigns that have sought, in avant-garde, new ways of composing messages, but also the first rebranding in 1992 on the occasion of the transformation of Eni into a Joint Stock Company. The exhibition also documents the continuous visual experimentation that over time has allowed the adoption of ever new techniques and the involvement of artists and authors capable of interpreting and anticipating trends in advertising language. The brand, thus, from a sign has become the identity symbol of Eni, an evolving visual synthesis that continues, even today, to tell the energy of always and the new energy.
