Foundation è Modena Visual Arts; a center of cultural production and training and education aimed at disseminating the’ contemporary art and visual culture and to stand as a landmark in’ interaction between disciplines and different artistic languages ​​and dialogue between the arts, science and technology.

Thanks to the multiplicityà of the seats that manages and collecting the’ legacyà the three institutions merged in it - Galleria Civica di Modena, Photography Foundation of Modena, Museum of Figurine - Modena Visual Arts Foundation presents itself as a cultural district  which proposes and organizes exhibitions and high-level training courses, workshops, performances and conferences, enhancing its assets and building a system of networks at local and extraterritorial face all’ enrichment of the communityà in which it operates.

Located in one of the più major streets of the historic center of Modena,  Palazzo Santa Margherita, whose name comes from the church that once stood in this area, are home to Modena Visual Arts Foundation– that from October 2017 it absorbed Civic Gallery and Museum of the figurine that were headquartered here– other cultural facilities such as the library Dolphins and the Orazio Vecchi Music Institute.

You access to the halls of Modena Visual Arts Foundation going up to the first floor where the  Great Hall. Continuing to the left leads to the staircase leading to the   upper rooms on the second floor. At the same level, are located in the collections of photography and drawing collection and graphics now operated by Modena Visual Arts Foundation, which scholars and enthusiasts can be viewed by appointment.

If the great Hall continue in the opposite direction, past the ticket office and bookshop, leads to the staircase leading to the  Figurine room, a large space set up with exhibitors conceived as great albums to browse and a showcase of 12 meters. On the same floorè available, by appointment, also the collection of Figurines Museum, established from the donation of Giuseppe Panini.

Palazzo Santa Margherita, there are also  two laboratories  that Modena Visual Arts Foundation offers available for activitiesà dedicated to children and teenagers.
