Palazzo Te

Palazzo Te in Mantua is the most famous work of the Italian mannerist architect and artist Giulio Romano. It was built between 1525 and 1534 commissioned by Federico II Gonzaga. The Palace was a grandiose suburban villa intended for the Prince's leisure, parties and receptions.

Today Palazzo Te is home to the civic museum of the city of Mantua and a center of artistic production that organizes art and architecture exhibitions.
