The monographic exhibition dedicated to the master of international Pop Art Andy Warhol, entitled Andy Warhol – Warhol Universe, opens in Rome, at the Infantry Museum.
With over 170 works, the exhibition curated by the famous Achille Bonito Oliva, traces the artistic career of the creative genius who colored the gray everyday life of 20th century America, going beyond the boundaries of a world that was opening up to globalization.
The exhibition itinerary is divided into large thematic areas, starting from his debut as a graphic designer with the experiments of the 1940s and 1950s in the musical field with portraits of the famous Rock Stars of the time, moving on to the precious silk-screen prints with the icons of the world of entertainment, the porcelain with pure gold, the polaroids where prominent celebrities appear, up to the most recent works such as the images dedicated to Interview magazine, the commercial posters and the photographs on the documentary film Trash – New York's waste.
