As part of the third edition of the Recanati Comics Festival, the exhibition of one of the most significant exponents of comics of all time, Hugo Pratt, dedicated to Corto Maltese will be inaugurated on August 25th , at 5.30 pm in the prestigious exhibition spaces of Villa Colloredo Mels and Ulysses . The exhibition will continue until January 7th .

Corto Maltese and Ulysses arrive in Recanati in a unique and unrepeatable exhibition entirely dedicated to the artistic genius of the great cartoonist Hugo Pratt , hosted in the prestigious rooms of the Civic Museum of Villa Colloredo Mels alongside the Recanati masterpieces of Lorenzo Lotto and the memorabilia of Giacomo Leopardi . On this occasion, it will be possible to admire over 60 original plates, films and reproductions , set up in a journey that winds through the literary references that inspired Pratt's works. We start with the 26 complete plates of the Odyssey , created in 1963 for "Il Corriere dei piccolo": Ulysses, in fact, was the first sailor drawn by Hugo Pratt, who would define the Odyssey as " a kaleidoscope of all situations of the adventure novel ”.

The exhibition continues with the story of the many journeys and exotic characters that characterized Pratt's rich production of comics and the navigations of Corto Maltese : towards Rapa Nui to sail the seas in the company of La Perouse and towards Apia to meet Robert Louis Stevenson , to land in Baron Corvo's Venice and again in A Midsummer Night's Dream in the company of William Shakespeare or in Ethiopia to embrace Arthur Rimbaud.
