The exhibition will be open until May 10th, from 10 am to 5 pm, excluding Sundays and holidays. After the presentation of the posthumous book of drawings by Sergio Staino about three months ago, titled That day when Jesus did not stop in Eboli, the Foundation is hosting the exhibition with the original drawings, curated by the Municipality of Aliano. The idea of the graphic novel was born in 2019 during a meeting between the Mayor and Sergio Staino. Together, they imagined creating a story about Aliano and Carlo Levi, who was confined to the village during fascism, on the occasion of "Aliano European Capital of Culture" for a day, in the year when Matera was the European Capital of Culture. The Mayor recounts that Sergio said: "Let's take Jesus as the protagonist and show what was lost by not going beyond Eboli!" as the title of Carlo Levi's book suggests. He continued: "Let's also include the devil who wants to stop him. And Carlo Levi, who like me discovered and fell in love with Basilicata, will be the guide who will lead Jesus to Aliano."
