The Carré Sainte Anne is an exhibition space in Montpellier dedicated to contemporary art. It is a deconsecrated neo-Gothic church, which over time has undergone various metamorphoses, until it became, in 2011, an exhibition space for contemporary art. Competence and need are the two values that guide the artistic line of this place, which offers the public avant-garde and unconventional proposals. Since 2011, artists of the caliber of Desgrandchamps, Garouste, Pagès, Di Rosa, Ocampo, Combas or Gérard Othoniel have exhibited in exhibitions. At each exhibition, the highly evocative setting of the place helps to unleash a sense of monumentality and symbolic charge. The site is currently closed for renovation.
