From 18 December to 3 March 2024
At the Montefalco Museum until March 3rd the evocative photographic exhibition dedicated to the cultural heritage of Umbria, the result of the editorial project signed by Elvio Lunghi and Giovanni Tarpani. A land rich in time, to be lived with authentic experiences.
It is an invitation to travel to Umbria to discover an incredibly unique heritage. Identity, protection, beauty, industriousness and know-how are the elements of the photographic exhibition “Umbria. Patrimoni” , set up in the splendid setting of the San Francesco Museum Complex in Montefalco. The evocative exhibition was born from the editorial project of Maggioli Cultura e Turismo which began in 2021 with “Umbria. Eredità” and always signed by the photographic shots of Giovanni Tarpani and the texts of the art historian Elvio Lunghi . It can be visited until March 3, 2024.
The exhibition presents a selection of 35 large format images, mostly taken from the volume “Umbria. Heritage” and a minor section from “ Umbria. Inheritance" . It is the representation of the territory through photography, which takes on not only an aesthetic value but above all a "reproduction" of the experience that Umbria allows in various forms.
The two publications together make up a unique experiment of its kind in Italy, which has as its object the representation and valorization of the identity of a territory through its widespread cultural and environmental assets, both tangible and intangible. The exhibition is curated by Maggioli Culture and Tourism in collaboration with the Municipality of Montefalco.
