From 7 April to 4 August 2024
Palazzo Reale, Dolce&Gabbana and IMG have announced today the first details of 'From the Heart to the Hands: Dolce&Gabbana', the first exhibition of the unique creations of the fashion house that tells the artistic and creative story of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.
The exhibition will be inaugurated at Palazzo Reale in Milan, where it will be open to the public from Sunday, April 7th to Wednesday, July 31st, and will subsequently be the protagonist of an international tour that will touch some of the most important cultural centers in the world.
Curated by Florence Müller, promoted by the Municipality of Milan - Culture and produced by Palazzo Reale and IMG, a world leader in events, From the Heart to the Hands: Dolce&Gabbana is a unique exhibition project, a tribute to the value of Handmade, the essence of Dolce&Gabbana since its origins. A narrative that, through the dream of Haute Couture, explores the sources of inspiration that have shaped the minds and hands of the two founders of the fashion house: from the passion for Italian culture, to the love for traditional craftsmanship revisited in a contemporary key. "From the Heart to the Hands: Dolce&Gabbana" will also present the work of visual artists in dialogue with the creativity of Dolce&Gabbana.
The exhibition path unfolds in a succession of themes that highlight the multitude of cultural references that have inspired the work of the two designers: among these, craftsmanship, visual arts and architecture, Italy and its traditions, innovation, theater, music, Opera, Ballet and the sweet life.
