ADI Design Museum was created to celebrate the "Historical Collection of the Compasso d'Oro", a unique corpus of 2500 projects recognized by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage as a "property of exceptional artistic and historical interest", an essential collection to reinterpret the history of Italian design.
"ADI Design Museum. The spoon and the city" is the exhibition of the permanent collection that presents all the projects awarded with the Compasso d'Oro through a chronological narrative ordered by all the editions from 1954 to today, and proposes a fluid and horizontal reading that develops along the perimeter walls of the museum spaces, marking the main path and suggesting and organizing the current and future temporary exhibitions.
A permanent but flexible narrative, which will change over time with calibrated additions of new documentary materials, in a planned manner and in relation to future rediscoveries and acquisitions.
